Reasons to give today:
This upcoming summer, we are partnering with families from Bridge Communities and Chicago Hope Academy who wish to make health-conscious dietary choices. Bridge serves homeless families in DuPage County with mentoring, housing, and supportive services. Chicago Hope (ADD DESCRIPTION). We are excited to serve families in the Chicagoland area, many of whom come from food desert communities.
Through the support of friends and family, we were able to achieve our summer donation goal of raising approximately $2,300. Your generosity will allow us to purchase farm fresh produce from our partner farm, The Conservation Foundation’s Green Earth Harvest of Naperville, Illinois.
100% of donated dollars will go towards providing fresh fruits and vegetables to communities in need and supporting the small businesses of local farms. Your support allows us to continue building initiatives promoting health, well-being, and self-reliance in our communities.
Combat poverty
Our model allows us to increase the demand for healthier foods by eliminating the financial costs and logistical burdens that many food desert and other in-need communities face.
Instill dignity
All donations provide our members with the resources and guidance to cook healthy meals from home. Teaching our members self-reliance allows them to feel dignified in the process.
Buy locally
All produce is organic and locally grown near the community it serves. Buying from local farms allows us to support small business and laying the groundwork for lasting relationships between farmers and our members.
